Advanced design for logistics efficiency

Menon has completed the construction of a roof to cover a storage area of recycled paper (also coming from separated waste collection) at a major paper mill in the Northeast. The project, characterised by a structural system of truss beams, is distinguished by the width of the spans and the reduced number of columns, ensuring an optimal operational interface between the external service area and the plant interior. Thanks to the modular configuration, the roof is ready for the future installation of a photovoltaic system, enabling the generation of energy and promoting the environmental sustainability of the production site. An intervention that combines advanced design solutions and flexibility to meet the client’s operational needs.

  • Canopy extension for a leading company in Italy in the production of paper and white covers for corrugated cardboard.
  • The shed measuring 2,000 m2 is made with a structural mesh of 23 m x 26 m, which has made it possible to create a space with few columns and which can be used to the best advantage for the movement and storage of materials.
  • The construction type is characterised by a net-like floor beam placed above the roofing system, which is hung in the underlying part, while on the upper level of the architraves a structure has been created to support a large photovoltaic system, served by suitable maintenance walkways.
  • The roofing system is made of self-supporting corrugated sheets, insulation and waterproofing with polyolefins, which allowed the work to be carried out without open flames (an important detail due to the considerable quantity of flammable material deposited in the service areas below).
